Private In Home Training:

My private training sessions focus on the goals you set for your dog. Private lessons are conducted in your home or in the location that affords successfully completing those goals. Sessions are generally one hour in length and can be scheduled to best suit your busy life.

Here are some of the goals we help dogs achieve:

• Basic obedience commands
• Household manners
• Proper dog to dog interactions
• Proper people greeting

In home sessions also offer realistic solutions to many common behavioral problems. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Group Classes

Class Description: Puppy Preschool

This six week course is designed to assist you with understanding your puppy and providing your puppy with the opportunity for proper socialization. Topics that will be covered include socialization, grooming, safety, confidence building, housetraining, controlled leash walking, as well as a variety of behavioral and preventative topics. Puppy Preschool is open to puppies eight weeks to sixteen weeks of age. For the safety of all puppies, written approval from your veterinarian is required for participation. Handlers are asked to attend the first class without their puppies.

Class Description: Basic Canine Obedience Training

This six week training course is designed to help dog owners learn the tools needed to teach their dog basic household manners. Focus will be on the importance of relationship building between owners and their dog. Using positive based training methods, lessons will include sit, down, stay, leave-it, come (on leash) and leash walking.

Common behavioral issues such as jumping, chewing, and barking will also be addressed. Dogs 16 weeks and older are welcome and all handlers must be at least 13 years of age. Handlers are asked to attend the first class without their dogs and also provide proof of vaccinations within the past year (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordatella).

Class Description: Canine Social Graces

A class designed to achieve a “well mannered dog.” The class focuses on everyday household manners, with less focus on routine obedience exercises. The class will cover: getting in and out of a car on command, discouraging/eliminating jumping, border training, door greeting, games, structured socialization and much more! All dogs must have completed the basic obedience class before attending “Social Graces.” A very fun and informative experience.
